History with LDraw:
Ross began using the LDraw tools in around 2000, and authored his first part in 2001. He has submitted several parts and parts updates to the Parts Tracker, and reviewed many more. In 2005 he wrote the txt2dat program, to enable him to produce virtual stickers for his LDraw models. In 2006 he was elected to the LDraw Standards Committee, and in 2007 became a part admin on the LDraw Parts Tracker.

Related interests:
Ross was a professional software engineer for many years, and although he no longer writes software for a living, still enjoys programming as a hobby, and is the admin of several LEGO related websites. He enjoys building with LEGO bricks, his favourite areas of interest are cranes, trains, and bridges, but not necessarily in that order.
